Two female ballet soloists en pointe in white costumes and tiaras performing onstage at The Russian Ballet School showcase in Toronto

Level 3

In Level 3, students focus on refining their technical ballet skills and artistic expression. Emphasis is placed on stabilizing turns, such as pirouettes, to bolster control and balance. Furthermore, Level 3 involves tackling challenging exercises on half-toe and en pointe at both the barre and centre. It prioritizes fluid arm and body transitions, aiming to elevate the grace, poise, and elegance of each movement. It cultivates precise coordination, stamina, discipline, and the ability to execute movements rhythmically and skillfully. A part of each lesson is dedicated to rehearsing choreographic compositions.

Students engage with the complexities of ballet technique, with the curriculum pushing them to excel in demanding exercises and to perform with a heightened sense of fluidity and grace. This comprehensive approach not only sharpens their technical abilities but also nurtures their artistic growth, leading to a more refined and expressive execution of ballet movements.
